Revision Breast Implant Surgery

Breast implants are not lifetime devices. Many may last over 10 years however, patients may consider having breast implants changed when they want to change the size of the implants or if they experience capsular contracture, displacement of the implant or rupture. 

Revision breast implant surgery is much more complicated than the first breast augmentation surgery and requires careful planning and discussions with the patient. 

However, most patients recover well and the operation is performed either as day surgery or an overnight hospital stay.
