Dr Cheung graduated from the University of Sydney in 1993 and obtained her fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001. In her surgical experience, she was mentored by renowned surgeons at Harvard Medical School, Los Angeles, London and Milan.

She is also one of Australia’s earliest advocates for smooth implants, which to date, have had no issues with BIA-ALCL (Breast Implant Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma).
