Breast Cancer Patients

In response to the unprecedented challenged facing our health care system by the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr Cheung is postponing non-critical patient visits, but will not postpone any surgeries, procedures or services which could result in a breast cancer condition worsening.

She will continue to see all new breast cancer patients or suspected breast cancer patients in rooms, as well as existing patients with breast symptoms that may require urgent attention.

These symptoms may include a new lump, dimpling, pain, swelling, nipple discharge or skin irritation.

After this initial consultation, most consults can be carried out through Dr Cheung’s virtual clinic here.

To save time, and in the interests of social distancing, please email us your new patient form here before you come in and send to info@breastcareclinic.com.au

Rest assured, Dr Cheung is committed to helping her cancer patients now – at a time they need her most, and that patients with scheduled appointments should see Dr Cheung, unless they are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, wheezing, los of smell or taste, new onset diarrhea, less commonly (stuffy runny nose) or muscle aches and pains.

In this instance please call your GP or Dr Cheung’s rooms.

It’s very important for cancer patients to tell their provider about respiratory symptoms.

You may be advised to stay home, or if you’re feeling very ill call ahead so your GP or Dr Cheung can provide guidelines to protect you when you walk in the door.
